The website www.ilkley.org, originally known as "The Ilkley Pages", was created in 1995 by Alan Drew. I've been involved with it since 1996. I'm presently the Hon. Sec. of The Wharfedale Online Trust (W.O.T.) which runs the site. Most credit for the building up of the www.ilkley.org site into its present state is due to Alan Drew but I'm one of a band of volunteers who've made contributions over the years.

Recently I've added a "List All Categories" option to the Business section. At first sight this might seem merely a minor variation on the way a visitor to the site can access details of a particular business - and so it is. But as well as being this it is also a means by which the search engines, such as Google, can include the businesses in their databases. Previously, since the pages were generated dynamically, businesses would not be picked up by the search engine robots.

From our base in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, close to Leeds, Bradford, Otley, Skipton and Keighley, we deliver services to the entire UK market.
